Diane Ferry said Destiny De Treaux used the Marshall’s oils to do her coloration of a black-and-white photo.
Diane was at the Kaha Ki‘i awards to do photos for her Island School students, and Mazie Hirono’s chief of staff, Carl Takamura, also had his camera working hard.
Carl came early to set up everything with Randy Nishimura and Dee Crowell and Peter Nakamura while Bernie went to the airport to get the congresswoman.
Jenny Yukimura had to ask Peter where JoAnn was since she didn’t recognize all those people in the council chambers.
Coach Karl Ubongen was getting ready to wrap up his day, noting that Kaua‘i Soccer Association had a bye weekend due to the Kirk Banks tournament on O‘ahu. KSA will be back this weekend at the North Vidinha fields.
Mel Rapozo, Tim Bynum and Kaipo Asing stayed long enough to take in the Kaha Ki‘i awards. The big question is where were the other schools?
Cecil Gee said the successful Gee basketball program has spawned the birth of the 3 G’s corporation, a non-profit that will be coordinating “competitive basketball” this summer.
Gee was at the Monday 14 and Under games as was league coordinator Jeff Venzon. Steven Carvalho was wondering what else is happening on Kaua‘i (K-PAL wrestling starts tonight!) and coach Neal Fagarang was so wrapped up in the game, he forgot his JV girls were in action against Kapa‘a.
