Razor sharp political wit … in a folk singer?

Called the Jon Stewart of folk music by The Kerryville Songwriters’ Competition, Tom Neilson incorporates political satire and solid musicianship into a riveting and smart show.

Performing tonight at Hanapepe’s Storybook Theatre, Neilson’s warm tone engages audience members of all ages.

The Coalition For Peace Action in Princeton, N.J., calls Neilson “one of the most politically astute folk singers with an amazing voice” performing today.

Ballads with titles such as “Body Bags” that speak to the counter-recruitment movement, Neilson uses his art as a vehicle of political expression.

“Bring your voices for an evening of music and constitutional rights” tonight at Storybook Theatre in Hanapepe Town.

There is a suggested donation of $7.

Two shows: 6:30 p.m. and and 8:30 p.m. For more information, call 335-0712.
