Cecilia Wood of ‘Ewa Beach was in good company while visiting Kaua‘i.
She was wrapping up a bicycle expedition on the South Shore and having lunch with Peter Rayno and Ernie Domingo during the MLK celebration at Kukui Grove.
Of course, everybody came out and she even got to meet Ray Domingo (Starlights play when?), Ernie’s brother. Cecilia said she even got to meet Baco Fernandez of the Wal-Mart Club.
Peter said they won their senior softball opener (Ernie didn’t make the error, Peter did), and now, there’s only 24 more games to go.
Joe Brun said his team won, but now he’s just doing base coaching. Joe and Tina Brun were at the KIF softball game with daughter Penny Vess.
Therese Jasper said she was in the middle of decorating the Isenberg facilities when son Jett called with the exciting Colt Brennan news from the UH campus … aren’t cell phones great?
Over at the Clem Gomes, it is a return to normalcy as Ms. Joyce Evens is back behind the mike. Welcome home, Ms. Evens — Have a Great Year!
Kenny Ishii is back! Got to chat with him at the Ono Family Restaurant following a grant award to Kapa‘a High School’s Project Grad, and even Joe Olivas was in the office. Kenny said he was just thinking about getting some pork chops to go along with their breakfast menu … check it out!
OK, ’nuff said … it’s off to find parking at the Kapa‘a pool for the first KIF swim meet there in a long time.
