Lorraine Gaylord
Lorraine Velasquez Gaylord of Wailua died at home on Dec. 30, 2006, at the age of 76. Born in Manila, Philippines, on Sept. 9, 1930, she worked for the Arkansas State Revenue and lived in North Little Rock, Ark., prior to her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents Dominador Velasquez and Maria Salonga, brother Roberto Velasquez and sister Remy Gabriel. She is survived by her daughter Lois (Eric) Lutz of Wailua, sisters Adoracion Velasquez and Susing (Henry) Ty, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of the Philippines.
A Mass will be said in her honor at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of North Little Rock, Ark., at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14.
Friends may visit with the family from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at St. Catherines Catholic Church in Kapa‘a. Mass officiated by Father Edgar will begin at 4 p.m.
Her ashes will be flown to the Philippines for burial.

Manuel Balisbisana Agcaoili
Manuel Balisbisana Agcaoili of ‘Ele‘ele died Dec. 27, 2006, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 80.
Born Oct. 1, 1926, in Pallas, Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he retired from McBryde Sugar Co. as a sugar processor.
Preceded in death by his parents Lucio and Presca Agcaoili; sister Angela Maltezo and half-brother Florentino Agcaoili, he is survived by his wife Erlinda Robles Agcaoili of ‘Ele‘ele; daughter Evelyn (Ludi) Pascua of Puhi; son Reynold (Amy) Agcaoili of ‘Ele‘ele; three brothers, Florencio (Gloria) Agcaoili of Koloa, Claro (Dominga) Agcaoili of Porterville, Calif., Florendo (Virgie) Agcaoili of the Philippines/Stockton, Calif.; three sisters, Emilia Carmen (Francisco) Jacinto of Koloa, Zenaida Ramos and Caridad Rivera, both of the Philippines; two half-brothers, Leandro (Lina) Agcaoili of Lihu‘e and Vicente (Naty) Agcaoili of Wailua; seven grandchildren, Michael Agcaoili, Jordan, Cherish and Krystle Pascua, Reyson, Reygan and Rey C. Agcaoili.
He is also survived by numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Jan. 12, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, Jan. 13, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Edison.
Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Henry Isamu Sasakito
Henry Isamu Sasaki of Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i, died on Dec. 31, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 80. He was born on Sept. 28, 1926. He is survived by his wife Mildred E. Sasaki; daughters, Claire Sasaki-Lundgren (Jack), Donna Muramoto (Nyles), Kathy Morishige (Gregg); four grandchildren, Mandi and Michael Muramoto and Kassy and Kelly Morishige; sisters, Nora Tada, Flora Cox and Helen Pruitt. Henry was the president and proprietor of Lihue Barbecue Inn, Ltd., a family restaurant established by his father Masaichi Sasaki in February 1940.
He and his wife Mildred operated the restaurant and took pride in serving quality food with friendly service to generations of customers. A celebration of his life will be held at the Lihue Christian Church on 2943 Kress St. on Saturday, Jan. 13. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a service at 10:30. The family requests no flowers.

Misao Yasutake
Misao Eva Yasutake of Wailua Homesteads died at home on Jan. 8, 2007, at the age of 89.
Born in Hanalei on March 15, 1917, she was a farmer, store owner and housewife.
She is survived by her husband Atsushi; three sons, Donald (Annette) Yasutake, Kenneth (Sylvia) Yasutake and Leslie (Carol) Yasutake; daughter Elaine (Roy) Morita; nine grandchildren, Jamie Yasutake, Jon (Jeanne) Yasutake, Cindy (Mingo) Lee, Dean (Kimberly) Yasutake, Cheryl Morita, Ken Morita, Yumi (Tammy) Yasutake, Lachelle Yasutake and Kobi Yasutake; four great-grandchildren; brother Henry (Elizabeth) Azeka; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, Jan. 15, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel.
The service officiated by the Rev. Fujimori will begin at 4 p.m.
The family suggests casual attire and that flowers be omitted.

Raymond Tabuchi
Raymond Shoichi Tabuchi of Koloa died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Dec. 26, 2006, at the age of 94.
Born on Kaua‘i on Oct. 20, 1912, he worked in the offices of Grove Farm until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Sadako Tabuchi of Koloa; sons, David (Janet) Tabuchi and Raymond O. (Eileen) Tabuchi, both of California; one sister, Millie Kunimura and four grandchildren.
Private services were held.

Cirilo Raposas
Cirilo Raposas of ‘Oma‘o died Jan. 1, 2007, at Garden Isle Healthcare Center at the age of 88.
Born Sept. 20, 1918, in the Philippines, he was a rock quarry operator for Grove Farm Company.
Preceded in death by his son Jose Raposas, he is survived by his wife Rosalina B. Raposas; four daughters, Merlita (Alan) Honma, Helen (Wade Tasaka) Masuda, Josephine Raposas, and Adeline (Bruce) Walter; three sons, Jerry Raposas, Lodring (Vivian) Raposas; and Edwin (Aurora) Raposas; daughter-in-law Hannah Raposas; 26 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Jan.13, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa, where memorial services will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
