A signed and framed Robert Lynn Nelson piece of artwork valued at $3,000 is one of the many items that will be auctioned off Saturday at KIDS Preschool’s 12th Annual Tony Kunimura Silent Auction.
The event is part of the Fall Fun Fest from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. behind First Hawaiian Bank in Kapa‘a at the school.
Director Phyllis Kunimura says she is thankful to the many businesses that annually support her preschool by donating exciting auction items.
Among the items up for bid this year are golf packages at Kukuiolono, Princeville and Po‘ipu, dinners, brunches and lunches for two at Terrace, Café Hanalei, Wailua Marina, the lu‘au at Smith’s Tropical Paradise and more.
Also up for bid is a getaway to the Waikiki Royal Hawaiian Hotel, fun activities on Kauai Kayak, Will Squyres Helicopter tours, Kauai Back Country Adventures tours, and Holoholo Charters trips.
There will also be unique gift items from a variety of donors, art pieces from several members of the art community, and gift certificates for a wide range of services and products.
For the keiki there will be a new feature this year. Teachers and parents are setting up the Happy Haunted House for young children and carnival games for everyone.
The public is invited to bring their appetites and stay for Hawaiian plate lunches, shave ice and popcorn. The KIDS Tag Sale is gigantic this year, courtesy of alumni and the community. Toys, books, household items and miscellaneous finds will be available.
Karin Panui of Mailelanis will sell her wares along with Lisa Mancia of Zaney Creations, Heidi Hibbitt with Hot Lava sunglasses, and Colleen Smith of Arbonne.
