Everyone will know where Glenn Morishige will be shopping in the next couple of weeks.
After shooting a 67 net score, Morishige took home the first place prize of a $250 gift certificate from Big Save in a Kaua‘i Public Links fundraiser tournament on June 24 and 25 at the Wailua Golf Course.
“My deepest thanks goes to Big Save for their support of the fundraiser,” tournament director Art Fujita said.
Davis Oshiro carded a 68 and Stephen Rapozo utilized his Puakea connection to shoot a 69, as both took home $100 certificates.
Wayne Nakai, Dave Hamamura and Harry Funamura came away with 69s, which were good enough for $50 certificates.
“Ties were broken by matching score cards,” Fujita said. “Please pick up Big Save gift certificates at the Wailua Golf Course registration office.”
Casey Watabu, the Kaua‘i qualifier for the National Amateur Public Links Championship, is heading out to the Gold Mountain Golf Course in Bremerton, Wash., July 10-15.
“Because of all of you who are friends of public golf, we are able to send our island qualifier,” Fujita said. “Many thanks to all the other players who participated in the events that were held also in April and May.”
