County officials in a press release urged real-property owners who sustained damages to their property as a result of the recent flooding to file claims for remission of county real-property taxes.
Forms are available at the county Department of Finance Real Property Tax office in the Lihu‘e Civic Center Kapule Building, 4444 Rice St., or by logging on to the county Web site, www.kauai.gov.
The deadline to file a claim for disaster relief is June 30, or within 60 days of the disaster, whichever is later.
