Applications for Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce scholarships must be postmarked by tomorrow, a chamber spokesperson said in a press release.
Public high-school seniors planning on attending college full-time and majoring in business or business-related fields are encouraged to apply.
Chamber leaders are offering three, $1,000 scholarships, one to a senior at each of the three public high schools.
The scholarships funds will be generated from the chamber’s Third Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament on May 21 at the Poipu Bay Golf Course, home of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf.
Scholarship applications are available at the three public high schools, and at the chamber office at 2970 Kele St., Suite 112, in the Lihue Plantation Building behind First Hawaiian Bank on Rice Street.
Completed applications must be mailed to the Scholarship Committee at the Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 1969, Lihu‘e, HI 96766, or 2970 Kele St., Suite 112, Lihu‘e, HI 96766, postmarked no later than tomorrow.
Chamber officials are still accepting hole sponsors, donations, and golfers for the tournament. Hole sponsorship, donation and golfer registration forms are available at the chamber office, or by calling 245-7363.
The Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce is a 501 (c) 6 nonprofit organization that has been serving Kaua‘i’s business community since 1913.
