New Hope Lihu’e Easter celebration on

The Easter celebration at New Hope Lihue is April 16 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Wilcox Elementary School cafeteria, with music, dance, and a message.

After the service, a 1,000-egg Easter egg hunt is planned, followed by a potluck lunch, church members said in a press release.


Caregiver meetings are set

Any person caring for a frail elderly family member, full-time or part-time, is welcome to attend.

Fellowship with other caregivers in the area is enjoyed.

Light refreshments will be served.

There is no cost.

Members of the Kapa’a Area Family Caregivers Support Group will meet April 18 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Kapa’a Public Library, organizers said in a press release.

Members of the Family Caregivers Support Group Lihu’e Area will meet April 19 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Lihu’e Neighborhood Center. New members are always welcome.


Fair tomorrow at center

The state Department of Education Parent & Child Fair is at the Kukui Grove Center mall today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with children’s activities, educational opportunities, and more.

On April 14, Good Friday, a holiday for some workers and students in the public schools, an Easter fun day is scheduled, with lots of activities for the children. Members of Limited Edition will be performing at center stage on April 14 at 7 p.m., during the Aloha Friday on the Mall event.
