After Saturday’s postponement, the KIF baseball season is about to get its feet wet on Wednesday in the first contest of the season.
The Warriors and the three-time defending KIF champion Red Raiders battle at the Vidinha Stadium Ball-park, starting at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, weather permitting.
Last Saturday’s doubleheader pitting Waimea against Kapa’a was rescheduled for April 4.
But if the contests have no bearing on the first round standings, the games won’t be played.
The Menehune get their first taste of regular season baseball on Saturday, with a doubleheader scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
The games will be played at Waimea High School.
