Yoga, art classes on in Hanalei

Certified Kundalini Yoga instructor Satya Kaur offers yoga classes each Tuesday and Thursday at 8:45 a.m. at the Hanalei Community Center, and a life drawing workshop each Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The art class begins tomorrow.

Through the yoga classes, participants will learn a gentle and thorough approach to yoga, with breathing and stretching techniques designed to give them greater flexibility, focus and strength.

Beginners, advanced practitioners, the old and young are welcome, she said in a press release.

Participants in the life drawing class should bring materials and any extra easels they may have, and will learn to sketch models in short and long poses.

Call 826-0050 to register for the life drawing classes.

Free clinic is on closet de-cluttering

It takes just five easy steps to de-clutter any closet, said Terri Schield of the T.L.C. Consignment Boutique in Kapa‘a.

This Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon, she will offer a free clinic covering all five steps, she said in a press release.

She invites anyone interested to come on down and learn an easy way to clear, clean, and organize any closet.

“It’s a fun way to simplify your life. Bring questions about problem areas, (and) we’ll have solutions,” she said.

Call 822-0004 for more information.
