Gecko art show opens tomorrow

New works by Tim Cotterill of Frogman Sculptures will be on display at Kahn Galleries locations at Coconut Marketplace in Waipouli, and Hanalei Center, beginning with artist’s receptions tomorrow from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Waipouli, and Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Hanalei, according to a press release.

All are invited to the free art-show openings.

The featured piece is Aloha Gecko, a new, limited-edition, bronze piece created exclusively for Kahn Galleries owners, to be unveiled at the openings.

Cotterill creates bronze sculptures that capture the whimsical character, the jewel-like quality, and the pure joy of beautiful little creatures, gallery owners said.

The appeal of his unique bronze frogs has created an international following, and has lead the artist to create this new unique Aloha Gecko in bright yellow and blue hues, exclusively for Kahn Galleries, he said.

Pictures of Tim Cotterill’s sculptures are on the Web site, www.kahngallereis.com.
