Filemon Salvador of Hanama’ulu, died Feb. 11, 2006, at his home in Hanama’ulu, at the age of 67.
Born in the Philippines on Nov. 22, 1938, he was a housekeeper at the Kauai Marriott.
He is survived by his sister, Felicidad “Fely” Odoya, of Hanama’ulu; brother Rodrigo (Gloria) Salvador of the Philippines; caregiver and nephew, Robert S. Odoya of Hanama’ulu, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on family members on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Kapaia. Mass will be celebrated by Father Bill Shannon at 11 a.m., lunch at noon with burial at Kauai Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m. The family suggests casual attire.
Arrangements are being handled by the staff at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Michael Hoonani Mundon
Michael Hoonani Mundon of Anahola died at home on Feb. 12, 2006, at the age of 68.
Born in Kapa’a on March 20, 1937, he retired as a Fire Chief with the County of Kaua’i.
Preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Fu Mundon, he is survived by his wife Cary Mundon of Anahola; father, Abraham Mundon of Kapa’a; five sons, Robert Mundon of Honolulu, John (Diane) Mundon of Kapahi, Lawrence (Shan) Mundon of Kapahi, Joel Pahukula of Anahola, Kaleo (Andrea) Pahukula of Sherwood, Oregon; one daughter, Michelle (Matthew) Vidinha of Hilo; two sisters, Helene (Lee) Pulley of Texas, Judy Prim of Kapa’a; one brother, James “Bully” (Annette) Mundon of Wailua; 16 grand-children, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Kapaa First Hawaiian Church with visitation from 8 a.m. to10:45 a.m. and services beginning at 11a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens in Kapa’ia.
Arrangements are being handled by the staff of Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Florence Carrillo
Florence Felipa Carrillo of Kekaha died Feb. 9, 2006, at her home in Kekaha at the age of 64.
Born May 12, 1941, on Kaua’i, she was a tax preparer.
She is survived by her husband Fernando Carrillo, daughters: Rowena (Dario) Caselli, Ruth (John) Lyon, and Colleen (Keith) Perry; brothers: Sonny Supnet, Jr. and Edward Supnet; sisters: Carmen Natarte and Rosalie Gaskile; three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, Feb. 20, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Kekaha Jehovah’s Witnesses Church. Cremation to follow.
