On Feb. 25, a total of nine young ladies will be vying for the crowns of Miss Garden Isle and Miss Kauai, pageant officials said in a press release.
Cindy Jackson, 2005 Miss Garden Isle, and Lilinoi Grace, 2005 Miss Kauai, will be crowing their successors, who will go on to represent Kaua‘i at the Miss Hawaii Scholarship Pageant.
Contestants competing for the crown are Angela Everhart, Rachel Gonzales, Ashley Igaya, Kalai Kamauoha, Hannah Montgomery, Jasmine Ornellas, Malina Pereza, Ashley Pichay and Raelen Self.
They will be judged on private interview, swimsuit, talent, evening wear, casual wear, and an on-stage question.
The pageant will be held at the Kaua‘i Community College Performing Arts Center starting at 7 p.m. The box office will open at 5:30 p.m., and the doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance from the contestants for $15 per person, or at the door for $20 per person.
