Over 100 guests, including Mayor Bryan J. Baptiste and former Mayor Maryanne Kusaka, enjoyed Hawaiian entertainment, food and fellowship as a new sales gallery and model unit were blessed and dedicated at the Kauai Beach Resort recently.
Brian Anderson, president of Akekona, the developer, presided over the festivities.
The Rev. Wayne Vidinha of Ke Akua Mana Church in Kapa’a blessed the sales gallery and model unit that was once a single hotel room at the resort on Nukoli’i beach near Hanama’ulu.
The first 200 units of the 350 condotel (hotel rooms sold to individual investors as condominium units) rooms sold in a matter of days, and the remaining 150 are expected to be gobbled up just as quickly, if indeed there are any left available at this writing.
As the sun set and the tiki torches were lit, the party continued at the property’s Shutters Lounge, with live music and ono food.
