Members of and visitors to the North Shore and Poalua Bridge Clubs play every Thursday, at Sun Village behind Wilcox Memorial Hospital at 9 a.m. This is the oldest bridge club on the island, and visitors are always welcome to play, members say. Some 40 players took part in the Feb. 2 game. There were 12 visitors from the Mainland, Austria and Calgary, Canada. Winners were: North-South: 1. Jane Nearing Go and Betty Moore; 2. Coleen and Jim Lawshe; 3. Ken and Berna Levy; East-West: 1. Jerry and Kay Gable; 2. Neal McDonald and Loretta Schwaartzenberger; 3. Jim and Sheryl Bloom.

There were seven tables of players taking part in the Jan. 26 game. The winners were: North/South: 1. Lil Riley and Debbie Byrnes; 2. Coleen and Jim Lawshe; East/West: 1. Betty Moore and Sheila Honeywell; 2. Earl Reeve and David Conklin.

Members of the Sunrise Duplicate Bridge Club play each Thursday at the Church of the Pacific hall in Princeville, beginning promptly at 9 a.m. For playing partners or more information, call Lolita Horney at 826-6805.

Results from play Jan. 26, a 24-player, Howell-movement event, were: 1. Suzanne Worth and Pat Berg; 2. Jane and Kent Oehm.

Results for the 33-board marathon on Jan. 28, with 44 players at 11 tables participating, were: North-South: 1. Cheryl and Jim Bloom; 2. Glenda Lewis and Judy Smith; East-West: 1. Earl Reeves and David Conklin; 2. Joyce and John Ielmini.

Results for the Jan. 21, six-table event were: 1. Hank Goldstein and Loring Harkness; 2. Judy Smith and Glenda Lewis.

Members of the Ka Haku o Hawaii Bridge Club play the second and fourth Mondays of every month, at Hanalei Bay Resort at 9 a.m. For playing partners or additional information, please call Jane Nearing Go, 826-9753.
