James Robert “Jimbo” Orton

James Robert “Jimbo” Orton of Milwaukie, Ore., died Dec. 7, 2005, at the age of 47.

Born June 22, 1958, in Sharon, Conn., he was a bartender and waiter for Dan and Louis Oyster Bar in Portland.

He lived for 18 years on Kaua’i, where he worked at Sheraton Kauai, The Princeville Hotel, Casa Di Amici and Smith’s Tropical Paradise. He moved to Baltimore, Md., in 1998 and spent the last few years in Milwaukie with his new wife and family.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Robinson; stepsons: Colin Robinson and Andrew Robinson; sisters: Bonnie (Bill) Rother of Weston, Conn. and Deirdre (Lubo) Pecarina of Wingdale, NY; aunt Jessie Hufcutt of Rowell, GA and assorted nephews and nieces.

A small pa’ina will be held in his memory at Lydgate Park near the river Saturday, Jan. 28 from 1 p.m. till dark. The family suggests beachwear and invites his friends to come and have fun.
