Fran McDonald recently joined Makai Properties, LLC, to work with her husband, Mark McDonald, as a real-estate team.
Fran McDonald brings experience from working in real estate in the Jacksonville Beaches area of Florida.
She sold real estate in the Ponte Vedra Sawgrass Resort & Country Club, home of the famous TPC Golf Course. She also specialized in the North Beaches area, and helped “break ground” at the brand new development of Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Her background has given her detailed knowledge in resort condo sales, prime golf view and oceanfront homes, as well as lot sales, construction sales, and working with builders and developers, she said.
Prior to his career in real estate, Mark McDonald was a commander and helicopter pilot in the U.S. Navy at the Pacific Missile Range on Kaua‘i‘s Westside. He retired from the Navy in 2004, after 22 years of active duty.
Having been stationed in Hawai‘i before, members of the McDonald family felt they had moved back home, and decided that Kaua‘i was their “last move.” The McDonalds reside in Kalaheo with their two children, Kelsey and Kyle. Members of the entire family are involved in competitive outrigger canoe racing.
