The Seventh Annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks Display is at Po’ipu Beach Park tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 31, at 10 p.m.
It is free and open to the public.
The only known, legal, aerial fireworks display may be viewed along Po’ipu’s coast-line, from Brennecke’s Beach to the Sheraton Kauai Resort, including Po’ipu Beach Park, Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club and Kiahuna Plantation Resort.
Organized by leaders at the Sheraton Kauai Resort, the event has received funding support from those with the County of Kaua’i, the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa, Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club, Lawai Beach Resort, Poipu Shopping Village, Embassy Vacation Resort at Poipu Point, Kukui’Ula Development Company (Hawaii), LLC, Grantham Resorts, Poipu Ocean View Resorts and First Hawaiian Bank.
In the unlikely event of weather problems tomorrow, the fireworks will be moved to 10 p.m., this Sunday, Jan. 1, at Po’ipu Beach Park.
The show is expected to last around 12 minutes.
