The Red Raiders bounced back this past Thursday with a win over Island School in both the boys and girls divisions. After notching their first loss of the season against the league leading Menehune squads, Kaua’i managed to grab wins over the Voyagers on Thursday.
The Red Raider boys defeated Island School, 1069-962.
Top five Kaua’i boys shooters were Aaron Brun (228), Harrison Yamamoto (226), Kendall Kusaka (214), Jason Cabot (204), and Cody Navarro (197).
Erik Talvi (226), Rory Marsh (215), Kevin Dhorne (183), Skyler Workman (171), and Justin Pelton (167) led the Voyagers.
The Red Raider girls topped Island School, 1083-983. Kaua’i was led by Liane Muraoka (234), Charissa Riofta (217), Casey Shimokawa (213), Contessa Ricci (210), and Maureen Sibolboro (209).
Kelli-Rose Hooser (232), Richelle Ridenour (205), Michelle Woltman (198), Kelsey Ritchie (175), and Beatrice Wu (173) paced the Voyagers.
Meanwhile, Waimea took care of Kapa’a on its home turf on Thursday. Results of the match weren’t available.
Waimea’s boys and girls squads are still undefeated this season and are in first-place with only a few weeks to go in the season. The Red Raiders are one game behind the Menehune for both the boys and girls divisions.
KIF air riflery continues on Thursday, as Kapa’a hosts Kaua’i and Waimea heads to Puhi to battle Island School. The matches begin at 3 p.m.
