KAUA’I AND HAWAI’I BY THE NUMBERS
- The Kauai Food Bank feeds more than 6,000 people monthly, of which 50 percent are children, and 25 percent are elderly. According to the food bank’s newsletter, The Poi Pounder, more than 1 million pounds of food are distributed to Kaua’i’s needy each year.
