Tavana, Gebauer tops Kaua‘i’s list
Kaua‘i High School seniors Sherri Gebauer and Futi Tavana earned outstanding female and male athlete honors, recently at its senior luau, where Red Raider athletes were presented with sports awards and recognitions.
Chad Naganuma and Shelcie Takenouchi grabbed scholar athlete of the year honors and Kekoa Crowell and Chelsea Pabo received the Army Reserve male and female athlete awards.

Estes, Jacinto earn Doi Scholarships
Waimea High School multisport athletes Jessica Jacinto and Justin Estes took home the 2005 Richard M. Doi Athletic Scholarships recently, as the Menehune held their annual athletic banquet.
Estes is the son of Clarance and Esther Estes of Waimea and Jacinto is the daughter of John and Gladys Jacinto of Pakala.
Each year, the Menehune Booster Club presents scholarships to male and female athletes. Nominees are selected for this scholarship based on the following criteria: graduating senior athlete who exemplifies the Menehune spirit of good character, discipline, loyalty, and commitment.
Estes will be attending Portland State University and majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Jacinto will be attending the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa and majoring in Sports Medicine/Physical Therapy.

Rainbow Wahine softball camps
There will be two Rainbow Wahine Softball Camps offered this summer. Camp #1 is designed for beginners and Camp #2 is open to all ages and for advanced skill development.
