I was writing my doctor’s office a complimentary letter, and thought to share some of it with readers of The Garden Island. My wife and I moved to Kaua‘i last year, and didn’t know how good the medical care would be. It’s been better than any I’ve experienced in the big city and rural places we’ve lived before! Even with some serious medical concerns, there was no thought of having to go to Honolulu or the Mainland. We go the Kapa‘a office of the Kauai Medical Clinic, where the staff who help me, Genie and Tanya, are always polite and efficient, even on crowded days. Dr. Goodale had better information about the therapy for a shoulder injury and the details of a particular medication than the specialist! I’ve also received exceptional care from eye Dr. Crane and staff. And HMSA has quickly covered everything but the copay. We’re happy.
