Eugene Allen Staley died Feb. 11, 2005, at Hanalei at the age of 63.
Born Dec. 25, 1941, in California, he was a construction laborer.
He is survived by sons: Carl Staley of California and Hugh (Cindy) Staley of California; daughters: Holly (Marc) Smalley of California and Hope (Joseph) Hebdon of California; brother: David Staley; sister: Norma Means; six grandchildren.
Private services will be held with scattering of cremains at Hanalei Bay.
Arrangements are being handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Alexander Buchanan
Alexander R.K. Buchanan died Feb. 14, 2005, at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home, at the age of 82.
Born Feb. 6, 1923, in Lahaina, Maui, he was a refuse collector with the County of Kauai.
He is survived by his wife: Ethel Leimomi Palama Buchanan; daughters: Leimomi (Peter) Tompson of Maine and Marvelin (Claudio) Clini of Milan, Italy; son Alexander (Lilinoe) Buchanan Jr. of Waimea, Hawaii (Big Island); sister: Harriett Panana B. Dennison of Kaunakakai, Molokai; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 26, at Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kalaheo Ward. Friends may visit with the family at 9:30 a.m. with services starting at 11 a.m. officiated by Rev. Berino. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
