WAIMEA — The Kekaha Indians came into yesterday’s game with just one thing on their minds, which included winning the first game and not giving the Hanapepe Cubs a chance to steal the 2004 bronco title for the West Kaua‘i Youth Baseball League.
With the mustang and bronco championships happening simultaneously, the action couldn’t have been any hotter with both fields blaring with talented baseball players.
On one side of the park, the bronco championship displayed more offense, but lackluster defense plagued both teams, as the Kekaha Indians ran away with the bronco championship, 16-11 over a tough Hanapepe Cubs team.
