The Garden Island enters the 21st century in full force today as you can see by the new-look of our front page and the updates made throughout the newspaper.
Our goal is to improve on our long-standing tradition started in 1902 of being Kaua‘i’s top source for news and information.
We are using new, easy-to-read type faces, improved graphic design and photographic reproduction, better organized information and a greater depth of coverage of local news.
You’ll find The Garden Island is easier to read, better organized and has more coverage of what our readers say they want to read about.
We are continuing to keep coverage of Kaua‘i and Ni‘ihau first and foremost in each issue of The Garden Island, adding more articles and updates from the North Shore, the Kapa‘a area, from the South Shore and Westside. Look for additional coverage of police and court reports, and overall more local news.
This week look for our new Life & Style sections. Wednesday you’ll find an improved Food section with more recipies and reporting on Kaua‘i dining and foods; Friday use our Entertainment guide to help plan your weekend fun; and Sunday look for home improvement features geared for Kaua‘i homeowners.
