Bernardino Buado Suetos Sr.
Bernardino Buado Suetos Sr. of Kapa‘a, died May 5, 2004, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 83.
A licensed practical nurse at Mahelona Hospital, he was born Oct. 10, 1920, in the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife: Pelagia Suetos of Kapa‘a; four daughters: Angelina (Benjamin) Martinez of California; Olive (Salvador) Quitevis of Washington; Adele (Maxwell) Manera of Lihu‘e, Patricia (fiance, Mark Dela Cruz) Suetos of Honolulu; one son: Emil (Ninette) Suetos of Las Vegas; one hanai son: Bernardino Suetos, Jr. of Las Vegas; three sisters: Francisca Abella of Kona, Magdalena Suetos of the Philippines; and Theresa Membrere of Honolulu; 11 grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, May 15, at Lihue United Church with visitation from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. followed by services at 10 a.m.
Inurnment will follow at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested. The family asks that wreaths be omitted. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Helen Costa Freitas
Helen Costa Freitas of Koloa, died May 8, 2004, at Wilcox Hospital at the age of 82.
A homemaker, she was born June 25, 1921, in Koloa.
Preceded in death by her husband Theodore Freitas and son Dennis Freitas, Sr., she is survived by two sons, Damien (Wanda) Freitas Sr. of Hanapepe and Leonard (Judy) Freitas of Koloa; one daughter, Arleen (George) Whitten of Koloa; one sister, Mercy Ignacio of Kekaha; and one brother, Manuel Costa of Koloa; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, May 15, at St. Raphael’s Church with viewing from 9 to 10:45 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Raphael’s Church Cemetery in Koloa. Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
