Kalani Vierra and Bethany Hamilton emerged as top winners at the H.S.F./Y.M.C.A. Contest No. 5 surf meet that was held at the Prince Kuhio on Saturday.
Vierra topped the Open Men’s division and came in second in the Senior Men while Bethany Hamilton topped the Girls Long Board competition and came in third in the Girls surfing division under Alana Blanchard and Malia Manuel.
Manuel topped the Menehune surfing competition to compliment her second place in the Girls surfing division.
Kyle Galtes, who took the runner-up in the Menehune division also picked up a third place finish in the Boys surfing competition with Zach Arreola taking second place in the Junior Men’s competition before adding a fourth finish in the Open Men division.
