North Shore Pop Warner registration next week
The Northshore Pop Warner Association will be hosting registration on Friday, May 7 and 21 at the Kilauea Gym from 4 to 6 p.m.
Another registration will be held at the Anahola Clubhouse on Friday, May 14 and 28 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Youth aged from 8 to 15 years old are invited to join the program involving tackle football and cheerleading in the following divisions — Junior Pee Wee, Pee Wee, and Midgets.
The Northshore Pop Warner Association is also accepting applications for coaches in any of the divisions.

Yates, Mets come up short against Padres
Kaua’i High School alum Tyler Yates went through two smooth innings Friday, but unraveled in the fourth. The former Red Raider pitched a little over four innings allowing seven hits, five earned runs, walking five, striking out two and giving up a two-run homer to Padres right fielder Brian Giles. For the seaon, Yates’ earned run average remains at 5.40 and drops to 1-3 on the year.
