Helen Kamakolo Katina of Anahola died April 3, 2004, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 75.
A homemaker, she was born April 25, 1928, in Kohala, Hawai‘i.
Preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Helen Avilla and her daughter Edna Boyd, she is survived by her husband: Malouamaua Katina of Anahola; two sons: David Avilla of O‘ahu and Regino (Wanda) Corpus, Jr. of O‘ahu; three daughters: Lenora Brownlee of Illinois, Rose (Richard) Spragling, Jr. of O‘ahu, and Helen Boyd of Anahola; one son-in-law: Dukie Boyd of O‘ahu; one hanai grandson: Kevin Malo Katina Boyd of Anahola; one brother: Lionel Avilla of Hawai‘i; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one uncle: James Avilla; numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 15, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. where services will be at noon. Burial will follow in Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.

Tony Ancheta Ganir of the Philippines and Kaua‘i died Feb. 13, 2004, in the Philippines at the age of 47.
The proprietor of an auto supplies business and equipment operator for Lihue Plantation, he was born May 9, 1956, in the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife: Trini Ganir of Washington; five sons: Tadd, Kenneth, J.R., Jay Antony and Jestoni Ganir; other: Filomena Ganir of Wailua; six brothers: Saturnino (Anita) Ganir of Wailua, Alfredo (Regina) Ganir of Wailua, Wayne Ganir of Kona, Justino (Femie) Ganir of Kapa‘a, Tomas (Susan) Ganir of Wailua and Elpidio Ganir of Kona; four sisters Teresita Aguilar of the Philippines, Anastacia Acob of Wailua, Perlita Agtunong of Honolulu, and Josie
Johnson of Washington; nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends may call on Friday, April 16, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel, 6n9 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 17, at Immaculate Conception Church, 8:30n10:15 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Cemetery. Narcisa Guerrero Igne
Narcisa Guerrero Igne of Kaumakani died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 27, 2004 at the age of 99.
Born in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, on Oct. 17, 1904, she was a Homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Luciano Igne and sons, Alfred and Rosalino Igne. She is survived by three sons, Emilio (Marina) Igne of Kaumakani, Kaumakani, Juanito (Gloria) Igne of Whittier, Calif., and Elpidio (Nell) Igne of Alta Vista, Va.; two daughters, Josefina (Bernardo) Garcia of Kekaha and Fely (Gerry) Libre Faulkner of Honolulu; 27 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgreat-grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family, 9:30n10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; a celebration of life at 10:30n11:30 a.m.; and service officiated by Pastor Dong Nadarisay,

Keizo Nakamasu
Keizo Nakamasu of San Francisco, Calif., and formerly of Kaua‘i, died April 1, 2004, at the age of 81.
Preceded in death by brother Hikoji “Peacock” Nakamasu and sister Linda Tanaka, he is survived by sister Yaeko Ginoza, brother Tokio Nakamasu and numerous nephews and nieces.
Private burial will be held Saturday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at Kauai Veterans’ Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Louis Victorino
Louis Victorino of Lihu‘e, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 5, 2004, at the age of 82. Born in Kealia, Kauai on May 7, 1921, he was a retired Supervisor with Lihue Plantation Company.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; three sons, Ronald (Marie) Victorino of Kapa‘a, Steven (Julie) Victorino of Lihu‘e and Patrick (Sue) Victorino of Kapa‘a; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Alfred (Hilda) Victorino of Kapa‘a; two sisters, Ida Barretto of Kapa‘a and Dora Hidalgo of California.
Friends may visit the family at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 12, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Mass officiated by Father Bill will begin at 11 a.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
