Tyson Cremer, catcher for the Kapa‘a Warriors, was one of the key players in the Warriors’ split with Kaua‘i High School Saturday as the 2004 KIF Baseball season got underway,
Cremer, whose strong arm nabbed several Raider steal attempts, finished the day with four hits in his six at-bats including an RBI in the second game that Kapa‘a won, 4-1.
Garen Itamura, who suffered the loss in a distance stint in game two, finished at the top of Kaua‘i’s hitters, Itamura notching two hits in game one, and an RBI triple in game two for the ice breaker as Shawn Ogata scored.

Kapa‘a (1-1) will attempt to extend the standings as they journey to Hanapepe Stadium for the Menehune’s season opener Wednesday afternoon starting at 2:45 p.m.
