The Puhi Metals Recycling Center and Island Recycling operation on Ahukini Road near Lihu‘e Airport are both open.
Presidents’ Day is not a retail holiday, so most stores will be open.
All federal, state and county offices are closed Monday, and that includes post offices. There will be no regular residential or business delivery or pickup of mail, and no pickup from blue collection boxes.
Express Mail will be delivered.
Kuhio Highway between Wailua and Lihu‘e will not be coned for contra-flow.
The regular Monday county Sunshine Markets will be open, but public libraries will be closed, and The Kaua‘i Bus will not be operating.
Wailua Golf Course will be open.
