Tennis jamboree Jan. 10 in Po’ipu
The first tennis jamboree of 2004 will be held on Jan. 10 at Po’ipu Kai from 1 to 3 p.m. hosted by the Kaua’i District Tennis Association and the Po’ipu Kai Tennis Club.
Tennis fellowship and information on the USTA Mixed Doubles League season will be available.
The USTA Mixed Doubles League begins on Jan. 25 and continues through Apr. 30 with a minimum roster of six players required to schedule matches.
A captain’s meeting is scheduled for Jan. 17 at Po’ipu Kai between 1 and 3 p.m.

Koloa outrigger canoe practice soon
Members of the Koloa Outrigger Canoe Club will be starting their 2004 paddling program Tuesday, Jan. 13. Men, women, beginners and experienced paddlers are encouraged to participate. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 p.m. at Koloa Landing in Po’ipu.
Those interested should bring drinking water, towels and slippers. Registration will be held Monday, Jan. 12, through Friday, Jan. 16, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the landing.
