LA’IE — Brigham Young University-Hawai’i junior forward Jake Chrisman has been named the Pacific West Conference Player of the Week for his performance against Notre Dame de Namur last weekend.
Chrisman becomes the second Seasider honored so far this season, Shawn Opunui receiving the honor two weeks ago.
Chrisman, from Provo, Utah, popped in 25 points against the Argonauts in leading the Seasiders to their fifth straight victory, 68-52. He hit ten of 15 shots from the field, five of six from the free throw line, and added five rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals in a well-rounded game.
Chrisman is currently second in the PacWest in scoring at 20.2 points per game, second in field goal percentage at .575, and sixth in blocks with .75 per game.
