A 21-year-old man, Mischa Jo Renalli, 21, of Alaska, was discovered dead Friday evening in Koke’e, said Cyndi Mei Ozaki, county public information officer.

The body was found on Miloli’i Road, approximately 2.4 miles from Makaha Ridge, said Ozaki.

According to a report given to The Garden Island by a Mainland hiker who was in Koke’e on Friday, the man was found with an old backpack and an item appearing to be a samurai sword.

An autopsy revealed the man’s cause of death to be natural, said Ozaki.
