WAIMEA — Various members of the Kaua‘i community will have their chance to voice opinions about Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc.’s Kaua‘i operations in the next few weeks.
On Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., officials from the Pioneer facility will engage in a “Talk Story about Agriculture” with island residents.

The Pioneer facility will also provide lunch for the community. Live entertainment will also be a part of the festivities.
During the open house at the research center, residents will have the opportunity to go one-on-one with Pioneer employees and learn first-hand about biotechnology, the history of the company in Hawai‘i, work that occurs at the facility, and the various crops grown here, including corn, soybeans and sunflowers.
The company has been part of the Kaua‘i community for over 35 years, and employs more than 200 state residents who help develop and deliver seeds to farmers around the world.
