James “Jimmy” Amaral of Lihu‘e, died Oct. 30, 2003, at his home in Lihu’e, at the age of 78.
Born Aug. 15, 1925, in Lihu‘e, he was a heavy equipment operator for the County of Kaua‘i.
Preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Minnie Amaral; brother Edward Amaral; three sisters: Lydia Rodrigues, Vivian Anjo and Josephine Cabos, he is survived by his caregiver Stephanie (Wayne) Rapozo, many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Immaculate Conception Church from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Immaculate Conception Church from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Burial to follow at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
