Members of the Hawaiian Studies department at Kaua‘i Community College are going all out in preparing for a gruesome, but well meaning, Halloween fund-raiser.

What’s being termed as an “event” set for Halloween night is being called The Kaua‘i Chainsaw Massacre by those putting on the show.

The staging area is a shop area next door to Radio Shack in the Kukui Grove Shopping Center.

The event is scheduled to open at 5 p.m. on Halloween night and stay open until 9 p.m. Proceeds from the terror-filled event are going to the Hawaiian Studies group.
