The BOOM Gallery is now open to the public in the newly renovated Lihue Plantation Building behind the U.S. Post Office and First Hawaiian Bank.
The art studio and gallery exhibits works by artists from Kaua‘i, O‘ahu and California and showcases works by emerging and established artists working in various mediums.
An emphasis on contemporary painting, drawing, photography and ethnic/traditional works are the main focus at the studio.
Guest artists often visit Kaua‘i and offer slide presentations or videos and lecture about their works. Solo exhibitions and group shows are scheduled for the months of October through December with art openings to collectors of fine art and the art community on Kaua‘i.
The works of art for sale and prices range from very affordable to moderately expensive depending on visual taste and budget. As a full-service art studio, BOOM offers photography, exhibition-event planning, graphic design, plus printing management to Kaua‘i’s creative and business community.
BOOM Gallery is also offering Saturday art classes. The classes are open to beginning artists as well as advanced ones wishing to take their careers to a higher level.
Art courses in air brush, watercolor, printmaking, photography, drawing, painting, graphic design, illustration and art exhibition design are available for individuals as well as for small groups of 2-5 artists. Call BOOM Gallery for a schedule of courses offered in a relaxed and creative atmosphere in Lihu‘e.
