Firefighters, lifeguards honored at Civic Center ceremony

LIHU‘E – Mayor Bryan Baptiste and Fire Chief Charlie Hiramoto Friday recognized 12 members of the Kaua‘i Fire Department.

The group included nine new employees and three recently promoted firefighters.

Family and friends of the new firefighter trainees and the promoted personnel were on hand to participate in the badge pinning.

Promotions include:

  • Theodore Williams to Administrative Battalion Chief.
  • David L. Bukoski to Prevention Inspector II.

New firefighter trainees include:

  • Kelly Franklin
  • Jeremie Makepa
  • Aaron Hawthorne
  • Miles Bellis

New lifeguards include:

  • Kristopher Hube
  • Waiokeolaokalani Potts
