The three Kalaheo residents arrested were Owen S. Konishi, 36; Winona Ragragola, 42; and Aaron K. Kahalewai, 27.
A 31-year-old Kaua‘i man being pursued in a vehicular chase in the Southshore area was injured by broken glass after shots were fired at his vehicle from a van occupied by Ragragola and Kahalewai, according to Kaua‘i Police Department and County of Kaua‘i sources.
Apparently, the victim was being pursued by two vehicles, a pick-up truck and a van, according to Cyndi Mei Ozaki, county public information officer.
The three arrested are being held in lieu of $20,000 bond each. Late Monday, they were in custody at the Kaua‘i Police Department’s cell block and were expected to appear in court today.
During the chase, one of the suspect’s vehicles collided with the victim’s vehicle, Ozaki said.
