Conditions good for crops
Weather conditions were good for crop progress with mostly sunny, dry days and occasional overcast skies and intermittent light-to-moderate showers.
Trade winds were moderate, allowing for some cooling and drying of fields.
Temperatures were moderate to high for most of the week.
Orchards in most windward areas made favorable progress with the light rains, long day length and warm temperatures. Leafy crops were making fair progress.
Spraying for insect and disease infestation stepped up.
Precipitation for the week included .07 inches of rain in Anahola, .14 inches in Hanalei and .32 inches in Omao.
