Association to hold meeting

The Hanapepe Colts Pop Warner Association will be having their important informational parent meeting today at 7 p.m. at the Hanapepe Neighborhood Center.

All interested participants should attend this meeting. First day of practice will be held on Monday at 4 p.m. at the Hanapepe Stadium.

Swim meet begins August 9

In memory of Ed Ho, the West Kaua‘i Lions Club is proud to sponsor the 29th Annual Ed Ho Memorial Swim Meet.

Mr. Ho unselfishly devoted his time and energy coaching the Waimea High School Swim Team and participated in many other community activities, including the West Kauai Lions Club. This meet is open to boys and girls 17 years of age and under. The events are scheduled for August 9 at the Waimea Swimming Pool. The events scheduled are freestyle, back and breast stroke, butterfly, and individual medley.

Pre-registration is not necessary but is encouraged. Registration starts at 9 a.m., and the races begin at 10 a.m.

Fundraising event starts Sunday

The Lihu‘e Pop Warner Midget Division will hold a Chicken Hekka dinner this Sunday from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Lihu‘e Veterans Hall.
