Kauai High yolleyball tryouts

Kauai High School varsity girls volleyball tryouts will be June 16-19 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Junior varsity tryouts will be June 23-26 from 5-7:30 p.m.

To try out you will need to have a physical done and waiver form filled out. These forms can be picked up at Kauai High School.

Poipu Bay to host Demo Day

POIPU — Poipu Bay Golf Course will host a free “Demo Day” on June 14 providing golfers the opportunity to experience the latest in golf equipment. Representatives from Titleist, Cobra, Ping, TaylorMade and Adams will be on hand, presenting their newest 2003 golf clubs for golfers to test on the driving range.

Golfers can try out the equipment and get fitted for custom clubs on the spot. Discounts will be offered for purchases made that day on any of the products being presented at the demo. In addition, attendees at the “Demo Day” can take advantage of Poipu Bay’s Father’s Day sale, offering 30 percent off men’s apparel and accessories in the Golf Shop from June 2 through 15.

Poipu Bay’s “Demo Day” will take place at the driving range from 9 a.m. to noon. on June 14. Drawings will take place every 15 minutes throughout the event, giving attendees a chance to win rounds of golf, gift certificates for merchandise at the Golf Shop, and tickets to the 2003 PGA Grand Slam of Golf.
