Free tutoring will be provided for students in public schools, private schools and home schools in grades 1-8 at Kaua’i Arts and Science Academy (KASA).
Tutoring will be during the week of Feb. 24-28, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The subjects being tutored are math, reading and writing.
Parents interested in having their child tutored are asked to call the school at 828-1093 and one of the tutors will call to schedule an appointment. Leave your name, phone number, name of the child, age of the child and which subject you are requesting.
The tutoring sessions are for individual students to work with one teacher.
Appointments times are from 3-4 p.m. or 4-5 p.m.
There are only 10 appointments per day, and they will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
The faculty of KASA invite all teachers on the island who would like to join in this effort, or those wishing to start a similar program at their schools, to join forces for the good of the children.
Interested principals and teachers are encouraged to call KASA for information.
