Saturday, Dec. 28 is the deadline for filing absentee ballots for the upcoming special election set for Saturday, Jan. 4.

Kaua’i County residents wishing to file an absentee ballot in the Hawai’i 2nd Congressional District special election must have their ballots in to the County of Kaua’i’s Elections Division by 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The special election is to fill the two-year congressional term left vacant by the death of Congresswoman Patsy Mink earlier this year. For more information call the Kaua’i Elections Division at 241-6350.
