Philip Hilacion, Jr.
Philip Hilacion, Jr. of Lihue, Kauai, died at his residence in Lihue, on Nov. 8, 2002 at the age of 53.
Born in Lihue, Kauai on Sept. 16, 1949, he was a carpenter supervisor for Raytheon Technical Services and he was also in the United States Navy for 2 1/2 years.
He is survived by his son: Jayson (Deana) Hilacion of Honolulu; one daughter: Roslyn (Sidney) Sinclair of St. Louis; parents: Philip & Victoria Hilacion, Sr. of Lihue; three sisters: Adele (Jeff) Silva of Kalaheo; Sharon (David) Abreu of Lawai; Jocelyn (Lee) Malina of Koloa; 4 grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 1 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. where a prayer service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Casual attire is suggested.

Barbara Jean Wright
Barbara Jean Wright of Fort Myers, Fla., and formerly of Kaua’i, died Oct. 16, 2002, in Fort Myers at the age of 69.
Born Nov. 9, 1932, to August C. and Mary Rita of Kalaheo, Kaua’i, she moved to O’ahu after high school where she lived and worked with the Wallace and Doris Dyer family of Nuuanu. There she helped raise her four hanai children: Didi (Earl) Sabate, Donna (Randall) Duryea, Wally Dyer, and Douglas (Moana) Dyer. After 11 years on O’ahu, Barbara married and moved to Columbus, Ohio.
In addition to her hanai children and four grandchildren, she is survived by her husband, Edward Wright of Florida, and sisters Jeanette Howard of Ohio, Adeline Robinson of Honolulu and Priscilla Rita of Kalaheo as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations in Barbara’s honor may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
Private services will be held in Hilo.
Helen Morgan
Helen Morgan of Kapaa, Kauai, died at her residence in Kapaa, on Nov. 8, 2002 at the age of 87.
Born in Hawaii on June 11, 1915, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters: Carolyn Morgan of Kapaa; Nancy (Skip) Schaefer of California; Sally (Don) Brecht of Washington; one son: Albert “Al” (Marjorie) Morgan, Jr. of Honolulu; one sister: Flora Carvalho of Lihue; two brothers: William (Cecelia) Farias of Wailua; Anthony Farias of Honolulu; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, Nov. 18, at St. Catherines Church in Kapaa at 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. where mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Cesario Atendido
Cesario Jiminez Atendido of Las Vegas, Nevada, died on Oct. 29, 2002 at the age of 94.
Born in Ilocos Sur, Philippines on Feb. 21, 1908.
He is survived by his wife: Tessie “Veronica” Atendido of Las Vegas; 8 children: Brian (Katie) Atendido of Wailua; Ronald (Bernie) Atendido of Kapaa; Christopher Atendido of Las Vegas; Joan Ino of Maui; Florence (Akira) Tazaki of Kapaa; Rose (Clint) Bettencourt of Kapaa; Cheryl (Edwin) Fujii of Hanapepe; Joyce Atendido of Las Vegas; father-in-law: Macario Inovejas of Las Vegas; 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Kapaa Missionary Church, from 9 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.
