Young also played well behind the plate, notching two rbis on two hits to lead the Braddahs offense.
Joel added on rbi on two singles, Greg Santos and Mile Alonzo each had two singles, and Bobby Texeira chipped in a triple and a single.
Five players each had a single for Ikaika.
Pitcher Tomas Quest suffered the loss. He allowed 14 hits and no walks.
Youngblood 4, Unversal Delivery 3
A two-run rally in the sixth was stopped short by Youngblood, who edged Universal Delivery 4-3 Thursday in the second softball game in Lihue.
Sandy Pacheco took the win for Youngblood; Marvin Mikasa, in relief for Garrett Agena, took the loss.
Mario Longboy led Youngblood with two hits and one rbi. Rory Rayno had two hits. Aaron Uyeda added a triple. Five other Youngbloods had one hit apiece.
Lance Nakata and Garrett Agena led Universal Delivery with two hits and one rbi each. Blaine Nakano, Scott Ebesu and Russell Nakata each added two singles.
Kaua’i Boys 12, Hard Knocks 6
Lambert Alapai pitched for the win and drove in three runs behind the plate to lead the Kaua’i Boys to a 12-6 drubbing of the Hard Knocks Thursday in the final softball game of the evening.
Alapai allowed nine hits and smacked three of his own for three rbis. Harry Best added two rbis, including a homerun and a single. Paulmert Dasalia had one rbi on three singles, Jay Kahaunaele had two singles and Willie Nuivo added three singles.
Dean Pigao led the Hard Knocks with one rbi on one triple. Jexx Hashimoto added two singles, and six other players had one single.
