Endangered plant sale

Hau kuahiwi (Hibiscadelphus distans) a small green flowered plant that is currently surviving on the eastern rim of the Waimea Canyon was one of the highly sought endangered plants at the Annual Arbor Day Plant Sale held Friday at the state Division of Forestry and Wildlife baseyard. The plant is shown here in bloom, and will grow to 12 feet tall in drier areas with well-drained soils.
