Vendors back in business at Po’ipu

Junko Fukumoto helps a pair of shoppers from her tent on the grassy area at the Spouting Horn park. Five of the seven vendors took advantage of the county’s revocable permit to sell from the grassy area and showed up early Tuesday morning following a day of meetings and drawings for plots on Monday. The revocable permit allows the vendors from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to do their business at the park until the renovations for the booth spaces are complete in about three weeks. Visitors were thrilled with the return of the vendors, and most of the vendors themselves were happy to be able to return to work.
